A Home on the Playa

Teapunk is returning to the playa for our fourth year, built by passionate Burners who found each other either in the default world or over the years on the playa. We come from all over—The Netherlands, the UK, Ireland, Italy, France, and even a few from the United States—but when we hit the dust, we are one family.

Our ethos is intentional. Our energy is real. We show up for each other, and when you join Teapunk, you’re not just joining a camp—you’re coming home.

What We Bring to the Playa

Teapunk is a high-energy, welcoming space where everyone contributes something unique. If you’ve already visited Black Rock City, you may have danced at our ‘70s disco, devoured a breakfast crêpe, grabbed a grilled hot dog, competed in the Tea Bag Olympics, caught some gentle rays at our morning nude beach, or perhaps taken part in our now-legendary Naked Cape Run. Every day starts with laughter, and every night ends with new friendships.

We keep camp fees low while covering evening meals and breakfasts, and we run fully on solar power—no noisy generators, no unnecessary waste. The desert tests us, but we tackle it with humour, kindness, and a touch of chivalry.

Who We’re Looking For

Teapunk is a safe, supportive, and slightly irreverent crew—honourable misfits who know how to work hard, play hard, and look out for each other. Conversations here range from sharp-witted banter to deep, life-changing exchanges. Our group dinners are the kind you wish your family had, and our interactivity keeps Burners coming back year after year.
